The Brahminy Kite - India

The Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) is identified with Garuda, the mythical mount of Vishnu. It hunts for fish and other prey near the coasts and around inland wetlands. In flight the rounded tail and plumage of adults is distinctive.
